Fame And Fortune

This picture shows the fame and fortune that people face.  The fame this person experiences, is trying to capture how fame really is sometimes.

Balance

This picture is suppose to show balance.  It is challenging to show this because there can be so many ways for a picture to be balanced, so I resolved to taking a picture of lock, which could maybe represent balance.

Photo of my choice Feb 6

The picture I made today were made up of two old pictures, put together.  I decided to take a picture of Eli, and made a composite with and a USA flag.  Although it may not be my best picture, it was the only picture I could come up with, with our time constraints.

Photo of my choice Feb 5

The two photos that I decided to post today are pictures found within our teacher's room.  The first picture is of a wire snake, its suppose to look like a snake made through a cord.  The second picture is a picture that has a regular landscape outside the tape boundary, but then it is inverted everything that is suppose to be within the tape border.

Photo Story Final

 This is my story final.

Our hero is sent onto a journey from his grandfather Joe.  He has turned 18, and he must pass the tests to prove himself to become a man.  Grandfather Joe is assigning our mysterious hero his trial to become a man.  Our unknown is to travel across the land to retrieve their family heirloom.  To get there, he must travel through long distances, track his way through unknown lands and fight perilous villains on his journey to become a man.

Our unknown hero starts his journey, he is given the cloak of his grandfather, and the stick of his grandfather.  He has tracked through the known villages that is around his house, and is fully rested.  He is currently surveying the land that he is to explore, he has not been outside his village, and the neighboring villages.  As he sits there watching, he hopes that his grandfather is okay, and is excited for what holds before him.

Through the journey, the peculiar hero comes into a conflict with bandits, trying to take his prized tiger skin.  This was one of the many perilous activities that he must endure through and survive.  As he fights the bandit, he remembers his past training where he sparred with his brothers.  Towards the end of the fight, the bandit knows that he cannot win, and runs away in fear as our hero faced his first victory in the wild.

Our faceless hero encountered many trials, from traveling in the desert, to fighting bandits.  As he reflects upon his journey, he begins to weep.  Maybe it was because of him missing his grandfather, maybe it was because the trials have taken its toll on his soul.  We do know that our hero is suffering from homesickness.  Our hero has had a lot of time too, to think about his life and his purpose.  He realizes that the journey is not really about going through the trials and hardships, but this journey is to develop who he is, what he thinks about himself and his purpose in life.  Our hero left home right after planting season, and has taken him many moon cycles to reach where he is now.  He knows  he is close to his destination, and he cannot believe that this trip is almost finished.

Weeks after his realization of who he is, our hero finally reaches the village his grandfather described that holds their family treasure.  As he goes through the town, he is taken to a Buddhist temple where his treasure is told to be. He goes into the temple, and bows respectably to the Buddha before he approaches the box.  He opens the box, and a light shines out of it.  It wasn't an expensive or rare object that he was to retrieve, but a blank piece of paper and a brush.  Our hero is puzzled at first, but after a while he begins to see the true meaning of these two objects.  His life is blank like a piece of paper, and the choices he can make is the brush.  He must take the brush and begin to start his life.  He has the power within his hands, and can do whatever he wants.

We finally see the face of our hero.  He is just a normal man, like me and you.  He isn't super incredibly smart, nor dumb.  Not super strong nor weak.  He is just another person.  His lesson of retrieving the paper and brush reflects how not just he should live, but how all people should live. Our lives are in our hands, we hold the brush in the paper of life.  Whatever we want to do, write and convey is what we choose to do.

Final Breadth

These eight pictures are what I felt were the best pictures I have taken over the past semester.  Each picture will have a quick description of what it is, and why I thought it was great.

This picture was a picture I really liked because of the simplicity of the picture, and how good this was at conveying a mood.  The single person standing in the street, all alone really gives the feeling of sadness and loneliness.

This is another picture I really liked because of what is going on.  The mysterious person is blowing creation out of his body, equivalent to the breath of life. I like it because how simple this is, and how deep this picture can be interpreted.  It could be looked through a religious sense, where God or a higher power being is bringing life into the world.  Another view could be how bland life could be if we didn't have any color, and by bringing color in make everything more interesting. This picture is just really cool, and can have varied interpretations.

I really liked this picture because it was different from my other pictures in that, there is a lot of color in this one.  The picture is suppose to be a story starter, and although there are many colors, it just adds to the feeling of this adventurer ready to go out and explore the vastness of the world.

I really liked this picture because of how cool it looks, and the message it gave.  Earlier in the blog, I posted this picture, and a lot of my peers liked this picture because of the violin design looking very cool, and matches the face that it is on.

This picture is another one that I really liked because it gives the feeling of going into the unknown.  As the person is walking into the cave of vast darkness, it just makes us feel that this person is courageous in making his decision into going into the cave.

This picture is what I really liked because of how cool this landscape was.  The colors of the rock and the water all fit together really well, and as a result, it blends really well together.

This picture I liked because of the unique and different texture this picture presents.  Unlike the other pictures, this picture is very simplistic in content, and very straightforward.  This is a pig intestine, and the way it curves, and the texture just makes it seem very creepy and weird.

This last picture is another one I liked because of how well it turned out.  It was suppose to just be leaves on the sidewalk, but the clarity this turned out, and the shadows and lighting just happened to be perfect, and this picture just looks amazing.  The depth of field turned out really great, blurry up close and far away, while being clear in the middle.

Photo of my choice Jan 14

This is a photo of my choice, I decided to just take a picture of some dying berries, and the reason why I decided to do this is for the reflection of winter. Winter is a time where nature traditionally dies, and I blurred out the sides to bring out how the last of nature is fighting to stay alive despite its inevitable end.
