What I did for my very first self-direct project is a shutter-speed kind of project. I took three pictures of one instance in three different shutter-speeds; one slower, one more normal, and one fast. I then assembled the photos into a composite.
your description is great and very clear ! you had a really good idea. i think the composite editing could have been better because the pictures don't really merge together too well. my favorite picture is the one of the falling water because i think it captures the difference in motion the best. I did not like the first one as much because the colors are very off in the composite. nice job max!
max, this was a very original concept. I haven't had anyone do a composite with a 'time' factor before and I think it worked well, especially in the music photo since there is more movement and the final image is more obviously a composite. The water image doesn't work quite as well since there is not as much difference between the photos. There is a very good concept here but it would take some time to fine tune the process and come up with subjects that would work visually. Overall nice work and I'm glad you tried something a little outside the box. 48/50
