Mini Concentration 2
The pictures I created for my second mini concentration is utilization of a big picture, and small picture. The picture itself is to represent a larger picture, and a part of the picture is a enlarged aspect of the picture. In the three, the waterfall has a part of the waterfall enlarged. The small spreading water droplets at the bottom is the enlarged part. The wreath has an augmented pine cone, showing the details of the pine cone. The last picture is the American flag with a larger star, which is developed in higher detail. These were to show how that we perceive objects in the world in one aspect, but when we take a closer look at these objects, we can see details that we would usually never see.

Yes the description matches the pictures. Overall the photos are very well done, I love how one thing pops and is very clear and specific to the overall photo. My favorite picture is of the wreath; very festive. No least favorite, but you could enhance the color in the waterfall picture. Good job!
ReplyDeleteYour description helps a lot and fits well, without it I would be kind of confused. Your flag with the enlarged star is very cool in a patriotic way and I really like it. The wreath is my least favorite because the color around the pine cone is a different color. I think the pine cone one could have better editing. Otherwise it is super good :)
ReplyDeleteI really love the idea to this set! I think the description matches the pictures perfectly. I really liked the subjects you chose for this concentration, my favorite is definitely the picture of the flag because I think you edited it really nicely. My least favorite is the picture of the waterfall. I think it is a really good idea, but when I first saw it, it didn't look like there was a close up to it. Maybe if you had magnified the moss or a leaf because it would have been a little easier with less movement and there would be more detail. Overall I think it was a great idea and they turned out sweet! :)
ReplyDeletethe description matches the photos. I really like this. I would have never thought of this, so creative. My favorite one it’s the wreath because its really cool and pops. My least favorite one is the waterfall because it doesn't look like anything as changed. If I were to change anything it would be the water fall I would have made something else bigger, like a drop of water or something.good job though!!(:
ReplyDeletemax, this was an interesting idea and concept but overall I feel like it didn't work that well visually. I'm glad you tried it and I think this is a concept that could work, but I'm not seeing enough visual distinction between the far/close in the photos. Also, I think the subject matter would really matter on this...if you could somehow find subjects that showed a contrasting/opposite nature when you showed a small 'part' of it, the images would be more striking. The photoshop technique also needs a little work here...you need to be more careful in your masking and the edges in your masking. I think the waterfall photo had the most potential but I feel like you could have separated the close up from the main waterfall more. The wreath might be the strongest of the three but the visible mask edges detract from it. The flag almost works, but I feel like the star should be farther away from the other stars and its not really that much bigger than the others. Overall I'm glad you tried it, but they don't quite work. Better to have tried something difficult like this than take an easy way out. 47/50
